Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time right here in this moment.
I feel blessed beyond measure to be living my life-long dream: I’m married to a hard-working, loving husband, a mom to three adorable and energetic little boys and a precious baby girl, and I get to take care of these people and our home full time.
And then there are times when I just want to pull my hair out and lock myself in the bathroom until daddy gets home (and sometimes I do–not the hair part). At least one kid is melting down, everyone was starving 5 minutes ago but won’t touch the dinner I just put in front of them, and bedtime is still 2 hours away. Can anyone relate?
The days are long but the years are so short (or so I’ve been told), and I want to savor it as much as I can.
I originally started this blog as a way to share all about my adventures in freezer cooking and how it has totally changed my life. Seriously, it has been such a life-saver for me. I had no idea what I was getting into when I first started, but now I’m absolutely convinced that anyone can do it and benefit from it immensely.
But over the years it has become a place where I get to share my heart as a mom.
Like how we ended up with four kids in 4 1/2 years.
Or how I never EVER thought I’d homeschool and that’s exactly what we’re doing.
Or how to get through the times when you feel completely overwhelmed.
And then of course there’s…
Potty-training. Toddler bed transitioning. Healthy snack making. Playroom decorating. House cleaning. Cloth diapering. Sleep training. Meal planning. Scripture memorizing. Book reading. Quilt making. Newborn prepping. Crock potting. Frugal living. Clothes organizing.
Whether you’re here for some practical tips or encouragement from one mom in the trenches to another, I hope you’ll find just what you need.
